Where learning meets play - together we Find Thabo!
The Changemakers
Finding Thabo is part of The Reach Trust – A technology for good organisation.
Established in 2013, The Reach Trust has helped more than 10 million people access life changing content on their mobile devices.
The Reach Trust focuses primarily on ECD and youth unemployment programmes. We love to partner with other impact-driven organisations to make the world better.
Reach Trust Founder & CEO
Andrew Rudge has an MSc in Applied Economics from Imperial College, London.
He is CEO at The Reach Trust and passionate about all things ed-tech.
The big idea
He had the idea to create Finding Thabo after speaking to experts about how to address learning deficits in young children under six. He decided to start working with them to develop an early learning game.
The idea for the pictures was sparked when he saw his young daughter engaged in a Where’s Wally activity book.
The Experts
We teamed up with a group of skilled ECD specialists from The Learning Initiative to create Finding Thabo.
The development team includes a psychologist, occupational therapist, and speech and language therapist.
The Finding Thabo programme scored 97% in an independent evaluation conducted by Education Alliance Finland in 2024.
“We’re on a mission to ensure that every South African child has the necessary building blocks to thrive by five.”
“Finding Thabo” is a fantastic resource developed by The Reach Trust. It’s simple, it’s smart, and it’s effective!
